Drill

Drill produces a hole at the center of each selected circle feature. It is intended for repeated hole patterns and can use canned cycles when the selected machine supports them.

Ten holes with rapid moves linking them in a zigzag, showing the order the operation drills them in
The rapids between holes show the order they are drilled in.
The simulated stock after drilling, with the row of holes bored into the surface
A drilling toolpath is vertical moves, so the Simulation view is where the holes become visible.
Requirement Value
Target features Circle features; optional closed regions filter the holes
Tool Drill, flat endmill for helical boring, or V-bit for countersinking
Passes Single pass

Shared settings are documented in Common operation parameters.

Parameter Description
Drill type Chooses Simple, Peck, Dwell, Chip breaking, Helical, or Countersink.
Retract height Sets the drilling retract height.
Peck depth Sets the increment for Peck and Chip breaking.
Dwell time Sets the pause for Dwell.
Two views of helical boring: from above, a cutter smaller than the bore follows a circle; in a vertical cutaway, one continuous helix wraps down the bore wall to the floor
The cutter is smaller than the hole it bores, and works down a helix rather than plunging.

Helical boring uses a flat endmill to bore a hole wider than the cutter along a helix. The selected circle defines the bore diameter; it does not use the general entry-helix diameter setting.

A cross-section through a countersink showing the V-bit in the cone it cut, with the diameter you set across the mouth, the bit’s 60 degree included angle at the tip, and the resulting depth marked as derived and read-only
You set the diameter; the depth follows from it and the bit angle.

Countersink uses a V-bit. Set Countersink diameter; the app shows the derived, read-only Countersink depth from that diameter and the selected V-bit angle.

Check every selected circle, the cycle parameters, the resulting depth, and any skipped-hole warning in the preview.
